Westwater whitewater: the narrowest point of the Colorado River, Westwater Canyon was the last to be run because it is impossible to scout. Now it's one of Holiday's most popular trips, and can be run in either a one, two, or three day time frame. The canyon is also one of the few places where the Utah red rocks give way to black rocks. Schist, the basement layer of the Colorado plateau, shines along the river banks, 1.7 billion years old.
