Geoffrey is a Kiwi gold miner. Susan is his American wife. Friends of friends living near Greymouth, on the west coast of the South Island, Geoffrey and Susan put me up for almost a month in some rather unique accommodations on their beautiful hilltop property and gave me a personalized tour of their mining operations and daily lives.
