My last week as a volunteer for
Awamaki found me doing physical therapy with Mario, a 50-year-old polio survivor, and learning how to bake thousands of
pancitos in an oversized mud oven. I also tackled a couple of big hikes, one to a chocolate water fall, another to a black lake.
